Want to be a volunteer? Besides helping insure that the show is a success, volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and network with exhibitors, while demonstrating their initiative, capabilities, and employability in practical and useful ways!

What is your role?

Volunteers assist exhibitors feel welcome and comfortable at the show. Specifically, volunteers should be ready to respond to almost any need a representative might have (i.e. unloading vehicles, carrying displays, helping to organize materials for displays, answering questions, getting water, coffee, etc.). Volunteers will have the opportunity to leave lasting, favorable impressions with representatives at the show.

Shift descriptions

8:00 am – 11:00 pm

Help the coordinators with any last minute details; distribute exhibitor packages, signs, nametags, and bottled water; help with set-up of the guest services booth; and assist exhibitors as they begin to arrive.

Greet exhibitors at the unloading area and at the parking lot; assist them with unloading their vehicles; escort exhibitors to their booth in centre court and help with the set-up of displays. Point out the exhibitor information package and nametag at their table and show them where the restrooms and the refreshment areas are located.

11:00 am – 2:00 pm / 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Work at the guest services booth assisting visitors as they arrive; answer questions; monitor refreshment area; periodically walk through the show and ask exhibitors if they need anything; serve as exhibitor back-up at their tables if they need to leave briefly to take a break or during lunch. As an exhibitor back-up, you'll be keeping an eye on the materials at their table, collecting resumes, and letting visitors know when they will return.

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Help exhibitors dismantle their displays; assist exhibitors with taking their materials back to their vehicles; assist show organizers with cleaning up and transporting materials. Some exhibitors may need assistance with shipping their materials. Volunteers should make sure the exhibitor has the proper forms to fill out and direct them to staff if they do not.
